 there are 12 tenses in english grammar. Every tenses has its own important. We defined these tenses into three forms.

Monsopiad Cultural Village

MONSOPIAD CULTURAL VILLAGE


Named after the great Kadazan warrior and headhunter(monsopiad), this is a historical site in Penampang that offer visitors an interactive experience and fascinating insight into the daily lives and traditional beliefs of the kadazandusun people.

  Monsopiad was the fearsome warrior who lived in the village of kuai 200 years ago.

At the Village, visit the Tangkob or Grainery where the padi is housed.
Kotos Di Monsopiad or Monsopiad's Main House is dedicated to the life and times of Monsopiad and his descendants. On display are ceramic jars, padi grinders, bamboo items as well as the costume of Bobohizan Inai Bianti, direct descendant of Monsopiad and very senior high priestess.

Other interesting exhibits include the massive monolith which invokes a dozen legends, the traditional restaurant and of course Siou Do Mohoing, or the House of Skulls, where all 42 'trophies' of Monsopiad hang from the rafters. which are eerily lined up along the ceiling.


Don't miss to have a go at traditional games and sports, walk on the hanging bridge, visit the traditional houses, tastes local rice wine, participate in traditional dances and test your skills on the blowpipe.^_^

KK City mosque

KK CITY MOSQUE
Likas Bay near the sea

It is the biggest mosque in KK and can accommodate 9.000 - 12.000 people. Built in 2.47 acres site at the Likas Bay. It is the exemplary of the Islamic contemporary architecture. the KK City Mosque has similar features to the Nabawi Mosque in Medina, and it even the possibly the most beautiful one in Malaysia - man-made lagoon which surrounds it gives a serenely gorgeous and dramatic look to the mosque on a full moon night.

Open time : 
Daily for public visits except Friday.
At 8 am till 5 pm. there's no fees charged on visitor.

Getting there

Kota Kinabalu City Mosque is located 3 kilometers from Kota Kinabalu City.

Atkinson clock tower

ATKINSON CLOCK TOWER
Kota Kinabalu (Capital City)

One of the most enduring landmarks in KK which has stood prominently on the bluff along Signal Hill Road. It's built in 1903, as a memorial to Francis George Atkinson(first District Officer of KK). it has the distinction of being the oldest standing structure in the whole of Sabah that survived the air raids and blitz of world war II(WWII).

*still serves to keep the city's time.

About Francis George Atkinson:
  • popular first District Officer of Jesselton during the British North Borneo Chartered company administration, who had succumbed to a tropical disease at the young age of 28.
Getting there:

you can stroll there or take any taxi from the bottom of Signal Hill Road at Padang Merdeka, turn left to get to the clock site, or view it from the city.
